Despacito Bachata Version - I'm sure everyone is pressed to find the best version!

Favorite Video of the Day

As everyone already knows this song is crazy out there! Not even sure why, it's such a plain song. That said, it was hard for me to find a good bachata version. It seems everyone has made their own bachata, merengue, salsa, blah-blah-blah version. It's so diluted, it's hard to enjoy it anymore. At any rate, this is the best bachata version I could find in what would be considered "Bachata". ~Cheers!

Que Bonito, Vicky Corbacho - Sometimes It Hurts, Just Because it Does

Favorite Video of the Day

This is the song that's tearing up my heart at the moment. LOL!!! Partly cause the lyrics are exceptionally hurtful! Nah! They're not, but they sure bring a lot of great memories of moments spent on the dance floor with some of the best bachata dancers out there. Lyrics are awesome, though!. ~Cheers!

Special Thanks - You have embraced me...This Bachata Freak is a happy dancer!

...just a few of the wonderful people I've met!
The Original Bachata Freak Crew
Exactly a year ago, I embarked on a journey to become a salsa dancer. Now, if you were to ask me what does it take to become a salsa dancer, the answer would be “I don’t know”. And quite honestly, I really don’t know. Partly because I still don’t consider myself a good salsa dancer. And yes, I've always been a better bachata dancer. Bachata has always been my passion! Even though, I'm not good at it. ;)

But one thing, I know for sure, is that I’ve met some of the most wonderful people in my life within the last year. That is no exaggeration. That is simply the truth. It comes to mind that most of these people are like me. Some are looking for something to make them feel better about themselves and others are simply living a life they thought they never could. Whatever their reasons for being in the scene, I wouldn’t begin to understand without being privileged to a deeper knowledge of their personal lives, but I am absolutely sure that it sustains a huge importance in their lives. Whatever those reasons may be, what is certain is that they have opened their heart to one more person, me. And I am very grateful for all the special moments and every song I’ve shared with them on the dance floor.

With this in mind, I want to extend a special thanks to everyone, who even briefly, has had the opportunity to socialize with me. I am much more at ease with myself as a person and as a character in the very book of my life. This feeling of belonging to a community that bathes in sensibility and emotional surges, with the occasional indulgence and frivolities, is inexplicably valuable to me. I, like many of you, have questioned my very existence, which for sure does not spare anyone the agony of the certainty of our own fragile state of mind. But finding something that ignites a passion within you is irreplaceable.

I have cried and laughed with many of you, and for this I am very thankful.

I have danced with many of you, and for this I’m very grateful.

I have indulged and shared my life with many of you, and for this I’m more appreciative of myself and others.

I have felt at ease talking and sharing my life story with many of you, and for that I’m beholden to maintaining a higher standard of self-awareness and integrity. I am, by all means, a man of character with higher expectations, mostly of myself and of those around me as well. And although, I cannot hold anyone up to the same expectations I set for myself, I can, however, quest to find the better qualities of any person within what they are willing to share and offer back. I can only expect what anyone of you is willing to offer in return and nothing more.

So, with all this, I send you a warm thank you from the bottom of my heart and I wish you all the very best in all you do in your lives, in your careers, in your dancing and most importantly in the relationships you organically grow with others; for that is where life becomes worth living, in maintaining and nourishing relationships. That is where we grow as individuals and as productive members of the communities we embody. That we feed our souls with the food of grace and humility within the people we meet; that we may one day be better people because we met and maintained those open relationships with our friends and family. That is where we become the better selves we’re looking for.

I can only hope that one day I will arrive at my destination with all the things I’ve set forth in front of me and I wish the same for every single one of you.
